Polish pianist, Krystian Tkaczewski Returns to Milford’s Center for the Arts on October 28 at 3PM

Krystian Tkaczewski has performed on three continents and 12 countries including Poland, Germany, Italy, France, Spain, Greece and the United States. Born in Tarnow, Poland, Mr. Tkaczewski studied at the Chopin Academy of Music in Warsaw as well as the Academy of Music in Wroclaw. Since 2005 Krystian has been a graduate student of the famous pianist Oxana Yablonskaya at the University of Hartford’s Hartt School as a Hartt Talent Award Holder. He has received numerous scholarships including a Chopin Scholarship in 1995 and a Polish Minister of Culture Creative Scholarship for 2002 and 2005. Krystian Tkaczewski has won awards and prizes in competitions and festivals around the world, including first place prize in the 2001 European Piano Competition in Bari, Italy.

His 2002 American debut recital in Tucson at the Chopin Society of Arizona was received with standing ovation. He has performed in numerous festivals around the world as well as soloist with several Orchestras. Since 2004, Krystian has been an active member of the Society of Polish Musical Artists. He is currently a member of the Fryderyk Chopin Society of Connecticut.

You will have a chance to hear this talented pianist on October 28 at Milford’s Center for the Arts, 40 Railroad Ave, Milford, CT. This concert sponsored by Casimir Majewski, Director of Poland in Music and Song on WNHU 88.7 FM, will begin at 3PM. Suggested donation of $15 will be gratefully accepted.
