The 17th Annual Fredercik Lisman Memorial Holiday Concert, sponsored by the Milford Fine Arts Council, is scheduled for Sunday, Dec. 2 at 4:00 PM.  Join your friends and neighbors in a program that celebrates the spirit of the season with music from Christmas, Hanukkah, and Kwanza traditions.  The featured soloists are all from Milford:  Marylyn Mulvey, internationally known coloratura soprano; Thirzah Bendokas, internationally known cellist; and Martha Mahoney (longtime Milford public schools music educator) directing the Christ the Redeemer Children's Choir.  Accompanying the soloists will be a string quartet with David Clampitt, New Haven violinist just back from a September European tour.  Also on the program is Kari Miller, a very gifted pianist from Winsted.

Familiar seasonal music features Miss Mulvey singing Mozart's "Alleluia", "Gesu Bambino", and "O Holy Night".  Martha Mahoney will direct the children's choir in
"O Come All Ye Faithful", "O Come Little Children", "Go Tell It on the Mountain" and "Silent Night".  The string quartet will play two familiar solo pieces.  Miss Bendokas will play "Czardas".  The program will conclude with the traditional Singalong by the audience.  There is no admission charge, but a donation will be gratefully accepted.  The concert takes place in Milford's historic City Hall auditorium.
See you there.
