Seeking three talented and versatile actors ages 30-50 who are adept at comedy and at ease with line memorization.  Auditions will be cold readings from the script.  All roles are open.

Serge (30-50):  Confident and assured, he buys the painting at the center of the play.  Serge is proud of the painting and steadfastly stands by his decision to buy it.

Marc (30-50):  Cynical and skeptical of Serge's decision to buy the painting.  Marc is forthright and bold in expressing his opinions.

Ivan (30-50):  Not as confident or bold as Serge or Marc.  Tries to keep the peace between his friends.  Character has a very long monologue and provides comic relief at tense moments.

Synopsis:
"ART",
a sophisticated comedy by Yasmina Reza, accomplished the remarkable feat of winning Broadway's Tony Award for Best Play and London's Evening Standard Award and Laurence Olivier Award for Best Comedy in the same year.  In "ART", the relationships among three friends, Serge, Marc and Ivan are pushed to the breaking point when Serge spends a small fortune on a painting which he considers a masterpiece but which Marc considers a joke, while Ivan tries to keep the peace among all three friends.  "ART" has been a smash hit in New York, London and around the world.  Reviews describe "ART" as "rioutously funny" and hail its "dazzling array of language".
