Cece Borjeson & Ruth George
a hybrid blossom of renaissance and Zen
This
American and Celtic folk duo have been performing in New England for
over 8 years. Owen Canfield of the Hartford Courant calls this
Newington team “thoroughly enjoyable”.
Cece
& Ruth bring you songs of love, songs of war & peace, of hearth
& home, and of the people from the American West to the Celtic
Isles. Milk maids and their young swains, cowboys, kings & paupers,
sailors, witches, sea-sprites and begging monks inhabit these ballads.
Cece
& Ruth have donated their services, on-going since 1997, to aid the
causes of Cancer & Diabetes research, Riversplash (Farmington River
Ecology), Animal Rescue, Memorial scholarships & Peace concerts.
They also entertain at the Rocky Hill Veteran’s Home & Hospital,
organizing 2 volunteer events a year.
