Eastbound Theatre presents:
The Comet of St. Loomis by Ed Simpson; directed by Tom Rushen
A story about looking up for a change.
In the dwindling town of Throckmorton, PA Charlie Loomis runs a motel called the Ridge Court. He and the staff of the Court have developed into a small surrogate family: Bobby and Annie are a teenage couple who do odd jobs as they prepare for the birth of their first child; Trudy is a local EMT trying to find a force that actually pays; and Martin is the town's honorary mayor, who takes the title a little too seriously.
As the comet, Akashi, appears in the night sky, Charlie is struck with a sudden penchant for stargazing. At the same time, Jack Miles pulls into town. The polar opposite of Charlie, Jack is polished, charming, self-assured, and for some reason, he has spent a great deal of effort to track down Charlie. A warm hearted small town drama.
Friday and Saturday evening performances at 8 PM; Sunday's at 2 PM.
