a benefit concert

november 4

2-4 pm

RAW ENERGY wrapped in a benefit concert for Bridges and Milford Prevention Council

We’re Here. Together. That's why the MAC is committed to serving the community in any way we can. That's why we are collaborating with Bridges Healthcare, Inc.and Milford Prevention Council on Sunday, November 4th in a benefit concert with indie rock band, Passing Strange. Please join in the fight against the opioid crisis, addiction, and mental health issues in our community. All proceeds go to these two important Milford organizations.

Join us for a beautiful, intimate Sunday afternoon supporting these two worthy local organizations in their efforts to help others. The event will be catered by Lasse’s Restaurant and beverages will be available. There will also be a raffle with prizes donated by various Connecticut businesses. Passing Strange will be performing a set of their original music.

Passing Strange is a local original indie rock band consisting of Anthony Paolucci on drums, and Kate Mirabella on piano/vocals. Formed in April 2017, the duo has recorded two albums, proceeds from the first, "The Water & the Woods," being donated to "To Write Love on Her Arms." In July of 2018, Passing Strange released their second album, "Come Whatever Storms." Both albums will be on hand for sale at the event.

This year, Passing Strange placed 3rd in the 2018 CTNOW’s Best of Hartford Reader’s Poll for both 'Best New Band' and CT Song of the year “Pacific Northwest.” They were also nominated for the New England Music Award for 'Best New Act.' The band's sound has been compared to Tori Amos, Fiona Apple, and Regina Spektor.
