The MAC Endowment Fund

The MAC Endowment was established to promote and nurture the arts in Milford and surrounding communities by offering grants and scholarships to local student and adult artists. We are proud to provide encouragement in the areas of Music, Dance, Creative Writing, Visual Arts, and Theater.

Please consider supporting the endowment with a standard donation, an honorary or memorial gift, or choose to live forever through your charitable legacy, with a bequest to promote education in the arts. Your significant donation will be conservatively invested in the MAC Endowment fund. Only the annual interest is then used to support these projects, ensuring an income stream well into the future.

Your donation will become a gift that keeps on giving! Thank you.

Artists Grant - The MAC Endowment is pleased to offer Grant Funds to assist a Milford artist with expenses for a public or community art project.

2022 Scholarship Recipients

Teresa Haynes (Lauralton Hall) is attending Wentworth Institute of Technology majoring in Industrial Design.  Theresa reports that she enjoys working in different mediums of art and chose her major because it allows her to work with multiple different materials and create all new ways of using them. Other interests are playing sports such as soccer and indulging in her love of music.

Katherine Mullaney (Jonathan Law) is attending Parsons School of Design/The New School majoring in Communications design.
”Hello my name is Kate Mullaney and I’m majoring in communications design. The first year we are doing many different, required classes not necessarily in our major to experience a variety of art forms before delving into our major. Here is a sample of two of my favorite pieces so far.”

Caitlyn Perez (Platt Tech) is attending Full Sail University majoring in Creative Writing.
“The story of how I got into the arts and what drove me to wanting to pursue creative writing honestly starts with the first moment I learned to put pen to paper; growing up I loved creating stories and relied on my very imaginative dreams to help create characters and draw them. Even now, I still use ideas I get from vivid dreams I have to write. Though I loved to draw, traditional art itself wasn’t necessarily what I imagined myself doing.. I realized that writing was what I loved the most, and a career I could trust myself to be motivated to pursue.”

Joshua Cummings (Joseph A Foran High School) is attending the University of Connecticut majoring in Digital Media and Design.
